Like dust he rose, and over dust he conquered.
History and overview:
Lord Aaranox is a tyrannical messiah-like figure, dominating the most powerful nation on Earth, Zephyria. His origins are ambiguous and shrouded in mystery, such is his life. His first appearance was among the Zephyrian infantry serving in Khalidia. At the time, Zephyria had allied with Khalidia to fight back the Dijian militia who were threatening to block access to the river banks during the civil war.
It was during this time of tension, where anti-monarchical extremism spread like wildfire at the southern and middle parts of Khalidia, that Aaranox gained prominence. This ideology was a major threat to the leaders powers of Earth, who ruled by their divinely manifested artefacts. Thus, they felt obliged to remove any trace of this ideology and instigators behind it.
Aaranox had been specially admitted by a high ranking coronel in mysterious circumstances. He wasn't allowed to be inspected by any state doctor, and was only monitored by people of choice. After just a few months of training, he was ordered to join the struggle in the desert-ridden lands of Khalidia.
One faithful night, the majority of the platoon he served under, dispersed in a missile attack. Aaranox, along with a few others, had survived and devised a plan to return to safety.
After days sweltering under the scorching sun, most of the remaining troops had died out of thirst and exhaustion. However, the heat of the sun, and the freezing temperatures at night seemed to have little effect on Aaranox.
It was during this time of solitude, that a spirit appeared to him. It ordered Aaranox to scavenge the remains of a wrecked aircraft for distilled vistone fuel, and pour it into a certain, nearby valley, blossoming with ephemeral flowers.
As the dijian militia marched across the valley, along with their leaders, Aaranox ignited the fuel, trapping them in a whirlwind of fire. This ambush was a turning point in the civil was, and a victory for Khalidia.
For this act of courage, which was later remembered as the 'Day of the Fire Flowers', he was awarded a medal of valor and quickly rose among the Zephyrian ranks. Especially, after positing the idea of annexing a territory at a nearby continent, after the rival country Elbatron had reclaimed an island close to Zephyrian territorial waters. His courage and cunningness quickly earned him the title; general of the Zephyrian army. It was during his time serving as general, that he commit questionable deeds, including promoting selected troops for no valid reason, and forcing the state police to spy on the royal guard. One fateful night, General Aaranox assassinated the king and queen of Zephyria, usurping the throne and gaining dominance over the world's most powerful nation.
Only his close associates know what lies behind his cold mask, which never revealed his true face. He had once claimed, when gaining prominence, that its purpose was to hide hideous face deformity, but the truth was far from that.
Just a few days after gaining control over the nation, and taking advantage over the weak elected regent, Lord Aaranox assembled a council of elites and entitled them 'The Vultusio'. These fervent devotes of Lazrahel, are vowed to serve Aaranox, as the successor of the greatly feared Lazrahel.
Lord Aaranox cleared away Zephyria's "labyrinth of slums" and rebuilt the whole city of Solis in neo classical and art neauvou. His obsession with sacred geometry and the lost, ancient city of Aukrasia, transformed Solis into a symmetrical city of splendor, with grandiose apartments, huge mansions and elegant public gardens. A city glossed in the blood and suffering of its own people. The prominent 'Palace of the Unconquered Sun', dubbed as the 'White Mountain', dominate the skyline, where the once majestic temple dedicated to Artradex once stood, boasting the largest dome on Earth.
Aaranox rules with an iron fist, building his army as he schemes to gain control over the elemental crystals and pave the way for cosmic domination, however that, is another story.
Personality and traits:
Tyrannical, megalomaniac, and egomaniacal, all perfectly describe Aaranox. Alongside with ambition, cunningness and determination; the traits that bring him success. He is ruthless, cruel and vicious. Aaranox is also known for killing his own elites during meetings and even dinners.
His behavior towards others is determined by his philosophy, merely stating that human consciousness is accidental and detrimental to the entirety of the macrocosm. Whilst he forces his own people to perish, he still values their loyalty and brainwashes them with propaganda and deceiving promises.
His obsession with perfection, both of the city, and of his transformation symbolises his mental need to be flawless. For he believes that only through perfection, can manifestation grow stronger.
Noticeably, Lord Aaranox is also known to be quite calm, even in tense moments, and quick to take actions. He is a reserved man, never publicly appearing to loose temper. He is known to keep his promises, even though it means twisting words to his favor. Such as, promising jobs and then enslaving an entire population.
To the end, he shows no remorse for his actions as he strongly believed in the greater good which would emerge from the elimination of such consciousness.
